Train stations are at the heart of cities everywhere. They play a critical role in the local economy and make fantastic places for innovation, with high numbers of people rushing about, trains jostling for space at platforms, signage challenges, ticket machines, shops, luggage and goods storage. They are high volume places, where digital twins and data can play a vital role. 

 

When Paul Wilson worked with Connected Places Catapult he pioneered a relationship with Bristol Temple Meads Train Station to turn it into the UK’s first Train Station Innovation Zone.
